I have used govindbhog chawal that is grown in Bihar. It is an aromatic, small grained starchy rice that is suitable for kheer. The pic below shows what govindbhog rice looks like. The amount of jaggery depends on your sweet tooth.

Steps to make Jaggery Rice:
  1. Melt the jaggery and keep aside.. Soak the rice for half an hour..
  2. Heat ghee in pressure cooker add the dry fruits slightly roast them..
  3. Add the rice..
  4. Now add the melted jaggery along with 3 n half cup of water..
  5. Cover it and give one whistle and than low the flame and let it cook for more 5 minutes.. Let the pressure release itself.. Enjoy hot or served chilled with milk..

If you require more, increase the quantity of the jaggeryand vice versa. Ghee too can be increased to get a rich taste to the jaggery rice. Raisins and other nuts can be added too to the jaggery rice. Palm jaggery (karupatti) too could be used for the above recipe.
