- Get 1 cup Cooked basmathi rice
- Prepare 3 tbsp Ghee
- Take 1 inch Cinnamon
- Take 2 Cardamom
- Take 3 Cloves
- Make ready 1 Bay leaf
- Take 1 Star anise
- Take 1 tbsp Splitted Cashews
- Prepare 1 tsp Cumin seeds

Add in green chillies, ginger garlic paste and saute for a min. Add in rice, coconut milk, water and salt. Let the pressure escape by itself. Open the cooker and fluff up the rice.
Instructions to make Ghee Rice (Sauted):
- Wash basmathi rice for 30 minutes. Drain the water and cook the rice by adding 1 tbsp of ghee, pinch of salt. - - Once rice cooked, let it cool for 15 minutes.
- Heat 2 tbsp of ghee, once melted add cinnamon, cardamom, bay leaf, star anise and cumin seeds. - - Once cumin seeds done add cashews. once cashews turns golden add bit salt, and cooked rice. Saute for 30 sec and close with lid, let it be for 1 minute in low flame.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with any gravy..
Add the spices (Peppercorns, Cinnamon, Cardamom, Cloves and Star Anise). Don't over fry onion till brown as the brown colour will affect the colour of ghee rice. Add rice and saute well so that the ghee will get mixed with the rice. Rice is a staple food in south India and there are various recipes which either calls for direct use of rice or in its some other form like flour, etc. Add the cooked rice and gently mix everything.
