  1. In a pan boil milk, when boils add vinegar. Boil for another two minutes and put off flame. Cool slightly and strain the mixture in a muslin cloth. Wash the paneer (cottage cheese) two to three times under running water. Squeeze water completely.
  2. Transfer it to a plate and with the help of your palm knead the cottage cheese for about 5 minutes till smooth. Make small smooth balls, with no cracks on them.
  3. Simultaneously in other pan put one cup jaggery powder and 4 cups of water. Keep stirring till jaggery dissolves completely.
  4. Now when it boils, put the balls and cover and cook for 20 minutes on moderate heat. Then put off flame. Open lid. Let them rest for 5 minutes uncovered. Then transfer to a bowl.
  5. Serve garnished with chopped pistachios.
