- Add jaggery and dry ginger powder, and mix them all together
- Add boiling water gradually -make sure do not add much water otherwise halwa will turn out into porridge.
- Roast it till ghee started separating- add nuts and switch off the gas.
- Healthy guilt free and diabetes friendly halwa is ready to enjoy.
Cook on high heat till halwa thickens. Generally it is prepared using sugar , but I have modified it prepared it iusing Jaggery, instead of Sugar for guilt free sweet. My mother makes this halwa with sugar and since I��™m a big fan of sweets made with jaggery, this immediately caught my attention.
